Hanging Burro’s Tail Succulents in a Garden Walkway

AbodePro Tools 2026-06-10

🌿 Lush Canopy of Hanging Succulents

A well-designed garden walkway comes alive with the cascading vines of Burro's Tail succulents. Suspended from above, these trailing plants create a natural green canopy that softens the structural lines of the corridor. The dense clusters of plump, teardrop-shaped leaves catch the natural light, adding rich texture and a sense of movement to the outdoor space.

🪴 Visual Impact of Vertical Planting

Utilizing overhead space for succulent displays transforms an ordinary path into an immersive botanical environment. The arrangement highlights the unique growth habit of the Burro's Tail:

  • Natural draping effect that draws the eye upward.
  • Efficient use of vertical areas in garden layouts.
  • Creation of a shaded, tranquil atmosphere beneath the hanging planters.

✨ Inspiring Outdoor Garden Layouts

This type of hanging succulent arrangement offers practical inspiration for enriching patios, pergolas, or garden walkways. Grouping multiple trailing succulents together amplifies their visual presence, turning a simple structural frame into a vibrant, living focal point. The continuous growth of the vines naturally evolves the display over time, bringing dynamic energy to the outdoor living area.

What's the temperature there right now? What are the approximate prices for the guesthouses? If it's reasonable, I'd love to take my kids to see such a beautiful place.

Bertha Patterson 2026-06-27 19:08:00

Awesome.

Bill Harris 2026-06-27 08:15:00

Before clicking, I thought these were drying raisins.

Alyssa Scott 2026-06-27 00:11:00

Won't they freeze in the winter?

Annabelle Anderson 2026-06-26 23:42:00

Such a beautiful place. Very romantic.

Adelgunde Wrobel 2026-06-26 23:42:00
Alexander Ambrose 2026-06-26 22:53:00

At first glance, I thought it was drying raisins in Xinjiang.

Amy Jacobs 2026-06-26 21:53:00

I really want to work for you.

Annette Jones 2026-06-26 09:13:00

I love succulents and have a balcony full of them. I've spent a lot of money and lost many varieties that couldn't survive the summer. The oldest one I have is nearly ten years old and has been propagated into many pots. I love all varieties; as long as they show their true colors, they all look great. It feels like only succulents in Yunnan reach their best state. Mine in Fujian grow leggy like crazy during the plum rain season. Their most beautiful state is from early winter until the rainy season in spring. The rest of the time, I'm just thankful they survive.

Ava Armstrong 2026-06-26 09:04:00

Drop the address so I can navigate there directly. Heading to Yunnan today!

Allie Kennedy 2026-06-26 05:27:00

Mushi Succulents, didn't you publish a book on how to grow succulents before?

Barry Marshall 2026-06-26 02:32:00

Wow, it's like a fairytale.

Amy Bergeron 2026-06-25 23:37:00

Really pretty. It must take so much effort to grow them like this.

Anita Dean 2026-06-25 23:25:00
Björn Schiemann 2026-06-25 16:14:00

I'm completely in awe. It's simply incredible.

Billie Owens 2026-06-25 14:31:00

Absolutely badass.

Billie Owens 2026-06-25 05:16:00

What happens when it rains?

Benjamin Jones 2026-06-24 21:21:00

Wow, this looks absolutely stunning.

Alexandra Carlson 2026-06-24 21:17:00

Tell me this isn't AI.

Adela Caballero 2026-06-24 21:10:00

Why are there fewer and fewer? Were they all plucked off?

Caridad Peralta 2026-06-24 06:45:00

Succulents are only suited for the climate in Dali, Yunnan. They are hard to grow in other regions and the colors aren't as vibrant.

Billy Hall 2026-06-23 21:50:00

@Noodles @Eel Oh my god, I love this.

Bill Brewer 2026-06-23 21:29:00

I feel like succulents grow best when ignored. The more you care for them, the faster they die.

Allan Williams 2026-06-23 21:09:00

Is there growth hormone in Yunnan's rain and air? Hahaha, so lucky.

Amelia White 2026-06-23 13:34:00

Is this real?

Amalia Zamora 2026-06-23 04:30:00

They are growing so incredibly well.

Alexandre Clark 2026-06-23 04:02:00

If someone tripped and fell into them, it would be heartbreaking. This is so beautiful, much respect.

Bently Côté 2026-06-23 03:17:00

Love this so much.

Björn Schiemann 2026-06-23 01:29:00

This is just too beautiful! So spectacular! Where is this? I really want to go!

Aaron Casares 2026-06-23 01:03:00

@yomi 🍓

Adelgunde Wrobel 2026-06-22 22:14:00

Oh my god, how are your succulents so well-behaved?

Alex Newman 2026-06-22 21:41:00

So beautiful.

Alexander Ambrose 2026-06-22 20:18:00

What variety is the trailing succulent?

Arthur Simmmons 2026-06-22 17:00:00

Amazing, truly amazing. I'm so jealous.

Bertha Patterson 2026-06-22 07:33:00
Ana Lane 2026-06-22 05:46:00

So innovative. I didn't know they could be grown like this.

Brandie Ramirez 2026-06-21 19:18:00

So beautiful it looks fake.

Ariane Brown 2026-06-21 16:27:00

Going to have a great time exploring Yunnan next year.

Brandon Morrison 2026-06-21 06:42:00

So pretty. How do you get succulents to grow this dense?

Candice Rice 2026-06-21 04:37:00

So spectacular.

Camilo Fernández 2026-06-21 00:59:00

Succulents grown by my mom.

Arcelia Vásquez 2026-06-20 21:08:00

How were these planted up there?

Barbara Ocasio 2026-06-20 20:40:00

This is the scene from my dreams.

Barry May 2026-06-20 16:29:00

Looks great, I really love succulents.

Alberto Gray 2026-06-19 17:30:00

Gosh, the algorithm didn't recommend this to me when I was in Yunnan.

Amy Hicks 2026-06-19 10:21:00

@Orange 🌸

Anne Harris 2026-06-19 07:48:00

Absolutely gorgeous, thank you!!

Becky Vargas 2026-06-19 04:57:00

@PJ Come see this! Hahaha.

Arlene Allen 2026-06-18 21:36:00

I thought they were grapes.

Bill Russell 2026-06-18 04:50:00

Where is this? I want to go.

Annabelle Ambrose 2026-06-18 04:41:00

So beautiful, I'll definitely go sooner or later!

Calvin Peck 2026-06-18 01:02:00
Antoine Denys 2026-06-17 17:11:00

Damn those lucky people in Yunnan! (Crying in Sichuan as I look at my succulents that died in the summer.)

Annie Fletcher 2026-06-17 16:24:00

@momo Succulents grow so beautifully in Yunnan, but they lose this color when you take them home.

Anne Harris 2026-06-17 04:42:00

The vertical planting makes the walkway feel alive.

Brandie Ramirez 2026-06-17 04:09:00

Only in a climate like Yunnan can they grow like this. I once made a peacock arrangement, but within months they all lost color, grew leggy, and died. I was crazy about buying succulents when I first started, but now I've given up. The few left in my yard actually thrive when ignored.

Benjamin Jones 2026-06-17 00:48:00

What do you do about pests?

Amber Freeman 2026-06-16 07:40:00

Only Yunnan's climate allows them to grow like this all year round. In other places, it depends on the season. How does mine look? A winter succulent in Shanghai.

Bill Russell 2026-06-15 17:25:00

So pretty! Where is this?

1060778506jpn 2026-06-15 17:04:00

Wow, so beautiful! I love this style. @GrowTaller

Alexandra Woods 2026-06-15 13:29:00

I wouldn't be able to resist plucking the leaves.

Billy Rodriquez 2026-06-15 04:34:00

What's the lowest temperature there in winter? I've grown this type before, and the leaves all fell off in the cold.

Alice Ma 2026-06-14 18:03:00

Don't worry, one day it will turn completely green.

Caridad Carvajal 2026-06-14 06:34:00

Succulent base.

Ashley Payne 2026-06-14 04:48:00

Where in Yunnan is this?

Annie Fletcher 2026-06-14 01:34:00

I would die of happiness here.

April Foster 2026-06-13 23:05:00

Is this not AI? Amazing.

Bobby Hayes 2026-06-13 21:43:00

So beautiful. Can we visit?

Amelia Gordon 2026-06-13 21:27:00

So beautiful.

Ann Morgan 2026-06-13 19:18:00

How are the Burro's Tails planted? Are the roots at the top? How do they not fall down?

Alexis Taylor 2026-06-13 00:31:00

Absolutely gorgeous.

Annie Fletcher 2026-06-12 22:18:00

So amazing...

Aubrey Kowalski 2026-06-12 21:28:00

Heaven on earth.

Blake Jean-Baptiste 2026-06-12 18:30:00

Such a creative canopy.

Brandie Ramirez 2026-06-12 17:08:00

So beautiful, my son's favorite.

Anthony Lavigne 2026-06-12 04:42:00

I want to go. Are there any rooms available recently?

Bertha Patterson 2026-06-11 18:30:00

Grown so well! 🌹🌹🌹

Adrian Graves 2026-06-11 02:28:00

@Zhou This is just too pretty.

Brennan Vargas 2026-06-11 01:27:00

Is it because of the saying: 'If you can reach that jade pendant, you're amazing'?

Allen Perkins 2026-06-10 21:38:00

How can I grow succulents this well?

Ava Smith 2026-06-10 19:22:00

Too beautiful.

Anita Dean 2026-06-10 18:20:00

Please share the location.

Arron Simmons 2026-06-10 07:57:00

In Yunnan, succulents are grown as street landscaping. The ones in roadside pots are bigger than human faces and incredibly beautiful. Can't help but be envious.

Bella Castro 2026-06-10 07:05:00

Wow, so pretty. Even the like button turned into fireworks 🎆.
