I am using several small terracotta pots on a bright balcony, and they dry faster than my glazed ceramic planters. Do you water them more often with smaller amounts, or soak the soil thoroughly and wait until the pot feels dry again?

For porous terracotta, I would water deeply, then let the mix dry before watering again. A grittier mix and an emptied saucer help prevent the roots from staying wet.
