I want to move a small echeveria onto a bright indoor shelf and I am torn between a ceramic pot and an unglazed terracotta pot. The room gets warm in the afternoon. Which material would be easier to manage for watering?

For a small echeveria on a warm bright shelf, I would choose unglazed terracotta if you tend to water generously. Ceramic can still work well if the plant stays in a nursery liner and you check that the mix dries near the center before watering again.
