I like the look of a geometric concrete planter for a small succulent display, but I do not want the shelf to feel crowded or stay wet for too long. Would that kind of pot suit a single rosette or is it better for a fuller grouping?

I would start with drainage and light first, then adjust the planter style around that. Small decorative pots can work well if the plant stays in a removable liner with a gritty mix.
